One of the eight sculptures to be installed as a part of the Museum of Underwater Art’s (MOUA) installation on Magnetic Island has been revealed to be modelled off Townsville’s own Professor John Edward Norwood “Charlie” Veron.

Indigenous trainees with a passion for sharing their culture will now have the opportunity to put their knowledge and connection to Townsville North Queensland to practical use, with the launch of an Indigenous Guides Training Program working with the Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA).

The Museum of Underwater Art (MOUA) has recently been awarded the annual ‘Eco Creativity’ award by high end Chinese travel magazine ‘Voyages’.
